Author’s Note

Before you begin, I’d like to take a moment to address some of the content that lies ahead. Let me start by stating that this book was written for a mature audience, and is a work of fiction– The characters, their actions, and the situations they find themselves in, are not real.

You may have noticed the word “Forbidden” in reference to the age gap between my MCs, so please allow me to clarify:
My FMC starts out very young– in fact she’s not quite eighteen.
The legal age of consent in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi (the states my MCs travel through together) is sixteen.
The age discrepancy is a large plot point between my MCs, so I encourage you to give it a chance even though I recognize that this is inevitably a deal-breaker for some of you.
It won’t hurt my feelings if you feel the need to put this book down, and walk quickly in the opposite direction. Life is too short to read a book you don’t vibe with. I sincerely hope there’s something else on your TBR that can scratch your itch.
